Once in a Lifetime Memories

                         Being an high school student is not easy at first but as we are able to adjust time comes that we can say that high school life is not just about studies but it is also about the friends and the memories you have together that we will all cherish forever in our life. I have many bad and good memories being a high school student. My friends are the ones who are always there to support me and to tell me not to take my studies as a burden but instead treat it as a hobby.

               We all know that comparing oneself to the other is not good at all because we are all unique. But honestly, I enjoy our English subject by this year compare to the previous year and I also learned many lessons that I can’t understand before because it was not clarified but that time. We have many speech activities in our English subject that I can say that really help us to be responsible enough and to have teamwork in order to our speech activity to have a good outcome. Not all speech activities that we have are by group because there are also some activities like oration that is individual. In this oration, I can say that it helps us to memorize the piece with all of our heart and this activity also teaches how on how we should learn how to modulate or voice whenever we are speaking. Honestly, the very difficult activity that I have experienced is “The Bells” by Edgar Allan Poe. At first, it seems that there are really less percentage for us to get the 25% because we have difficulty in blending our voices and we find difficulty on applying some twist on it but when the day came that we were to perform “The Bells” were able to get the 25% and my heart really jumps in joy because our efforts are not just wasted. I have experienced many activities that I didn't expect I was able to do but thanks to this English subject because I have learned many lessons.

                Just enjoy being a student because once you’re done studying you’ll miss all the happy memories that you spent with your friends. The memories that we have in our heart will last forever. Since I’m already third-year, I will be a fourth-year student after some months and I can’t wait that time to come and I’m so excited about it but I also feel sad because my friends and I will go separately.

Dear Ivanny,

                At first, I don’t expect that I will be able to chat you or even talk to you in person but all my expectations were wrong because I was able to and the special thing about that is it’s not just a normal conversation with each other or at one time only because we were always chatting each other every day that leads us to be more open and close to each other especially you. Until that thing happens that changed everything now.

                I hope you know that I don’t have any intension to hurt you. There are many times that you are telling me that it’s not my fault why you are hurting that much but I can’t blame myself because for me I have a part on it. And after that happening, a wall is being built between of us and honestly I don’t know who built that thing and we can’t do anything in order to break the wall between of us. I really want to say sorry if there are times that you feel that you are just the only one making all the efforts just to break that wall. Sorry, because I’m not that aware of someone’s feeling especially yours because I was too focused on some things that I was not able to see all these things and I was not able to consider your feelings in every act that I do. I don’t have any idea on how can I show you how sincere I am and on how willing I am to break the wall between of us but I’ll still do my best for you to notice it.

                Now, that I was able to realize all the wrong things I have done I will be able to show you how determined I am because I really want to be close with you like before and I won’t let someone special for me will left me again. SORRY AGAIN AND I HOPE THAT WE CAN STILL MAKE OUR FRIENDSHIP WORKS.

I Love being SPECIAL..

                Each one of us living here in this world is all unique and that uniqueness makes us to be special among others. But not all of us notice that he/she is special because some thought that you will be special when someone loves you or if you are important to someone but the word “special” doesn’t really mean that. Being special means having some unique trait that many of your friends and that trait is they admire the most.

                As an individual I consider myself as a special one. What makes me special? I can say that there are many things that make me a special person one of it is when time comes that I can make someone laugh especially my friends. All of us knew that making someone laugh is not that easy especially nowadays and there are times that I succeeded and that make my heart to be in joy.  Another one is when my friend seeks my advices because they need my help. In that way, I can say that my friend do trust me that’s why as possible I am giving all my best in order to give his/her the most inspiring advice that I can give and there are times that I am trying to help her solve his/her problems. Does time comes when I think myself is not one of the special person? That time don’t come and will never come because as long as I knew that I am unique among others I will stay a special one and there will be one and only Zairah Mae M. Mendoza in this world. No one can be like be. No one can act, speak, smile, and cry the way I do. I believe that I am special and that makes other person notice me and wants me to be their friend among others.  

               

                Trust is one of the most special things that we should have in ourselves in order for us to consider our self as a special one. Ourselves are the one who truly know ourselves and I know that we all know that all human being that is existing are all special.

A Letter to God

Dear God,       

            I want to thank you for all the blessings you have given me especially for having a father that will be always at my side. Any words are not really applicable to express how much I am grateful for giving me this very wonderful present. I know that there are some people who are not able to understand what the word “FATHER” really means because they are too focused hating their father because their father can’t give the things they have and I am very sure that there are also many people like me who is not used to show or say their feelings to their father.

            In my part, it was really difficult for me to adjust on the big change that happened in my life and it was when my mother died. Growing up without a mother at your side is really hard and a big challenge for me but with the help of You God I was able to overcome it. I know that it is a big challenge for my father to act as a father and as well as a mother in our family. As the days passes by I will loved more than I expect from him and I can see it in his eyes that he is doing his best for us to see that he is strong enough to get over in that thing even though it’s killing him inside.

            Dear God, I am asking you to give him good health, a happy and a long life because I know that he really deserves to accept these kinds of blessing coming from you because he is always there to make us happy, to give us all the advices that we need, for giving his our time to make us feel that we are not alone and especially for giving all his effort to act as a mother to us.

            God, I know that you were to give all the blessing to my father as long as you know that he deserves it. As his daughter, I was to do all the efforts to make him happy and I want him to feel proud and lucky for having a daughter like me in his life. So, please help me God in order for me to do all this things.

Wheel of Life

Regrets? Do I have any regrets in my life? Well, surely some of the people do have regrets in their life and for them life is too unfair. All I just can say is we can’t expect the world to be fair to us because it’s like you’re expecting the tiger not to eat you because you’re not eating a tiger.  We should be used to live by the things here in our world and stop expecting that time will come that this life will be fair to us but I didn’t mean to say that hoping is bad.

          Having a high grade in our card is what all students want to see every PTC. Well, I know that having this grade is as hard as climbing the top of the mountain and getting a low grade is as sad as loosing someone you love. All of the students probably wants a high grade because for them they have given all the efforts and hard works they can but not all of us were able to notice that all the efforts and hard works that we are exerting is not really enough to. I know in myself that there are times that I am as lazy as Don Juan but there are also times that I was too determined to fix everything like Barack Obama. When the first and second PTC came I was as happy as a kid who received a candy because I know that I’ve do my best that’s why I got good grades in my card. But sadly, when the third PTC came I was as sad as lost kid because my grades our low though not that low but my point is my grades decrease which means that the effort that I exert in the third grading is not really enough in order for me to get the grade I want to. My heart was torn in to pieces after seeing my grade and I also felt disappointed and I can feel that’s my father is feeling the same way too.

          By this time I felt more determined enough to have a high grade so that my father will be proud of me also and I know that studying is also for my own good and not for others. I’ll do my best in order to get the highest possible grade that I know I can if I will just believe in myself.   

Having a Great Time

                Each one of us surely wants to meet someone from the past. Maybe we just wants to asks them because there are such things that made us to be curious in some things that they made or wrote. Well, having the opportunity to meet them is really a great one.  And we will surely enjoy spending time with them.

                 If I will be given a chance to talk to someone in the past I will to choose Dante Alighieri itself because after I was to know more about the Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso, I really got interested in his purpose why he was to write this kind of book.  I really have many questions to ask him that’s why I’m very excited. Here’s our conversation.

                As I see Dante Alighieri going closer in my table I really got more excited that’s why I stand up and waits him until he reached there.

Zairah: Good Afternoon Mr. Dante Alighieri!

Dante Alighieri: Good Afternoon to Zairah! Nice to meet you.

Zairah: Nice to see you too Mr. I was here to ask you some important matters.

Dante Alighieri: I really want to spend more time with you but sadly we just have a limited time to talk to.

Zairah: It was my pleasure because you were to accept my request and gives time to go here.

Dante Alighieri: So, I think Zairah we need to start already.

Zairah: I was able to know about the books you wrote. The Inferno, Purgatorio and the Paradiso and I get curious on your purpose of writing those kinds of books.

Dante Alighieri: That was a good question to have a good start. Well, I decided to write those books because my purpose is really to inspire each one of you especially the teenagers. I want teenagers to be more aware in our world; I want them to be more open-minded in such things because most of the teenagers like you are just too focused on the things they want to do without thinking its effect.

Zairah: That was really a good purpose because not all writers are really concern to teenagers. Do you experience something that leads you to be really concern to teenagers like me?

Dante Alighieri: No, I don’t have any bad memories in my teenager time that leads me to be concern to them. I think my heart is just really close to teenagers like you because I believe that they can make our world better.

Zairah: Mr. Alighieri, you were just like some people that believes that us teenagers will make the world better.

Dante Alighieri: How about you, do you believe on what I said?

Zairah: Of course Mr. Dante Alighieri, because I believe on the things that we can do if we just believe in ourselves.

Dante Alighieri: Exactly Zairah! You really have a point of view.

Zairah: I am happy that you agree in my opinion.

Dante Alighieri: Sorry Zairah but I think I really need to go.

Zairah: Thank you for sharing me those things Mr. I really had a great time.

Dante Alighieri: Bye! Thanks also for choosing me.

Zairah: Bye Mr.

Violations in our School

                Rules were implemented in each school to maintain the cleanliness and peace on it. These rules were strictly implemented to students that should obey this. And not all students were able to obey all of the rules. Mostly of them are always disobeying it. Well, as a student it is not really that easy to obey all the rules. I will discuss the 9 stations where the students disobey the rules.

                The first station in our school is the Gate. This is the entrance of the campus and each student is required to have a complete and proper uniform before entering the campus. But sadly most of the students always forgot to do so. They always forgot to bring their I.D. and others just lost or broke it. The identification card is really important because there is a number of their guardian on it when something bad happens to the student.

                In the second station is where the student who is late is there. It is the student’s responsibility to go to school before 7:00 in the morning. They need to go early because they still need to clean the assigned place to them and assure that everything is fine before 7:00. And there is also a flag ceremony every Monday early in the morning that’s why they really need to come to school early.

                The third station is the Office. This is where the principal is doing such hard work to fix every problem in the school, as well as the budgeting of the expenses. Students that will pass by here should observe silence because too much effort may disturb the principal and there’s a possibility that the principal will have a bad background about the students studying in the school.

                The fourth station is the pathway. The pathway should be maintained clean because this is where the students pass by while going to their respective classrooms. Some students were throwing trashes while walking in the pathway and that mess may lead a bad background of the school especially when there is an expected visitor.

                The fifth station of our school is the laboratory. We have different laboratories in our school. Some students are just clumsy that’s why they were able to break some apparatus. While working in the laboratories each students should be very careful because if not they will broke the apparatus which the school owns. And nowadays, the apparatus are not enough to cover the needs of the students.

                The canteen is the sixth station. Every recess or lunch probably there were many students in the canteen but the sad part there is some are just too selfish and some just don’t know how to wait because some are to overtake so that they will not wait too long and that is too unfair to some. Students just let that happen because they can’t do anything that’s why they just keep their mouth shut.

                The seventh station is where the students are not to speak in English. Each student are required to speak in English because it is in the policy but most of the students were not able to do so because they find difficulty in speaking the language they are not used to, but still there are students who is trying their very best just to follow this policy.

                Our library is the eight station and we are used to call it the LRC or the Learning Resource Center. This is where students are to borrow the books they need in order to make their studies easier but sadly, some students where not be able to return the book while others are to return the book but it is not already in the good condition.

                The last station of our school is where students cheating to their other classmate. Each student exerts effort just to pass each subject so cheating is really not a good idea but some are just don’t have choice but to do this thing, while some are just too lazy doing their homework or project that’s why they are to cheat because they want to comply.
